Silvia Goldman is from Uruguay, and has lived in the United States for fifteen years. Her poems and academic essays have appeared in literary journals in Latin America, the US, and Europe. Her first book of poems, Cinco movimientos del llanto (Five Movements of Weeping) was published in Montevideo by Ediciones de Hermes Criollo in 2008. She holds a Ph.D. in Hispanic Studies from Brown University, and is currently Assistant Professor of Spanish at North Central College.
Charlotte Whittle is a writer, editor, and translator from Spanish. She received her BA in English and Modern Languages from Oxford, and an MA in Hispanic Studies from Brown. Her translations and essays have appeared in Mantis, Palabras Errantes, Inti, Reading in Translation, and elsewhere. She participated in the co-translation of Eduardo González Viaña’s novel, César Vallejo’s Season in Hell, published by London’s Centre of César Vallejo Studies. Originally from England and Utah, she has lived in Mexico, Peru, and Chile, and is currently based in New York.
